Santo Domingo.- Los premios Óscar 2021 de la Academia de Hollywood parecen haber escuchado las reclamos de inclusión, porque este año, por primera vez, el renglón a Mejor Director, pudiera ser Mejor DirectorA y tres hombres negros están nominados en la categoría de Mejor Actor de Reparto.
76 mujeres han sido nominadas y dos de ellas: Chloé Zhao, directora de «Nomeland», y Emerald Fennell, de «Una joven prometedora», compiten en la categoría de Mejor Director(a).
Nomeadland es la gran favorita de este año. Ya se llevó dos globos de oro por mejor película y mejor dirección.
Estatuilla
Los Óscar le pidió a siete artistas visuales de alrededor del mundo que diseñaran la famosa estatuilla respondiendo una sola pregunta: ¿qué significan las películas para ti? Aquí alguno de los resultados:
Edición 93ª de los Óscar 2021
Las nominaciones fueron anunciadas esta mañana por la actriz Priyanka Chopra y el cantante Nick Jonas.
Los premios que se realizan normalmente en febrero serán este año transmitidos el domingo 25 de abril por CBS y TNT.
La película más nominada este año es Mank, de David Fincher con un total de 10. Un drama en blanco y negro que relata cómo se desarrolló el guión de Ciudadano Kane, la afamada película de Orson Welles .
La academia permite por primera vez y solo por este año, debido a la pandemia, la nominación de películas de streaming o plataformas digitales.
